2020 MTD recap from the team at MyWorkpapers

Why do we attend?

2020 is a great forum for MyWorkpapers to showcase our cloud-based platform for digital workpapers, collaboration and reconciliation. Events and conferences are always a great meeting point to reach out to existing and potential clients, network with firms and partners, and discover and learn about the current needs of our accounting clients.

It was great to see of our integration partners Quickbooks who were also at the conference, they had some really cool swag on their stand!  Thanks for the awesome water bottles 😊

We didn’t get to attend many of the presentations, but we did manage to catch:

Kevin Salter’s session at 12.15 on Technology Changes Required for MTD

Kevin outlined the changes needed to ensure firms can meet the requirements on MTD from a practice management point and helping clients to input their data digitally.

Ian Fletcher’s Session after lunch at 2pm on Converting Clients to the Cloud

Ian outlined key steps to prepare for MTD including agent registration, educating clients on HMRC plans, getting the team involved, running marketing campaigns, seminars and proven methods for converting clients.

Both of these sessions were very informative and helpful.

At the stand

Our stand was very busy and it was great to meet so many people. We had a very favourable response and some great conversations with firms big and small about moving their workpapers to the cloud and ensuring they are progressing forwards into the digital age.
